Radio Station
Radio Paradise is an internet radio station founded in February 2000 by Bill and Rebecca Goldsmith in Paradise, California. It is a 100% human-curated, commercial-free station entirely funded by listener donations. It is known for offering high-resolution, lossless audio and an eclectic musical mix that prioritizes discovering independent and classic artists over commercial trends.
As a digital-native station, Radio Paradise does not have a traditional FM or AM frequency. Listeners can tune in through its mobile app for iOS and Android, web players, and integrations with streaming devices such as Sonos, Roku, Amazon Alexa, and audiophile hardware such as BluOS.
Radio Paradise does not use a traditional broadcaster or talk-show format. Its programming is divided into human-curated mixes and thematic channels broadcasting 24/7:
- The Main Mix: The primary blend of rock, indie, trip-hop, and alternative pop.
- Mellow Mix: Relaxing and acoustic music.
- Rockit! (Rock): Rock and alternative genres.
- The Globe: World music.
- Beyond, Sanctuary, and Serenity: Spaces for jazz, classical, experimental, and ambient music.
