“Y.M.C.A.” de Village People es una de las canciones disco más reconocibles de finales de los años 70 y un himno atemporal para fiestas. Lanzada el 9 de octubre de 1978 como el único sencillo del tercer álbum de estudio del grupo, Cruisin’, el tema fue publicado por Casablanca Records. Fue escrita por Jacques Morali y Victor Willis, siendo Morali también el productor.

Musicalmente, “Y.M.C.A.” es una clásica canción disco construida alrededor de un ritmo de baile constante, un prominente riff de metales, bajo, batería, arreglos de estilo orquestal y coros enérgicos.
